I am self-coached. My first two triathlons ever were IRONMAN 70.3 Mile Races.
My third triathlon was a full IRONMAN 140.6 mile race right here in my home State, Florida along the magical turquoise coastline in Panama City Beach IRONMAN 140.6 Florida. From that day forward, I never looked back as I found my happy place. There are times that I may race an IRONMAN 70.3 distance race but merely to test my fitness level or simply to try out a new nutrition product.
During my entire triathlon racing, career I have been fortunate to successfully finish every race that I entered. Making it 22 IRONMAN long-course races to date. Anyone who has attempted a single full distance IRONMAN race will vouch that this is a major accomplishment for any very exceptionally well trained uber fit athlete, whether competing as an age-grouper, elite, or professional level.
Yes. I am bragging. Yes. I am proud of myself, for I was not razed in an athletic family. I always feel welcomed and loved by the Global IRONMAN racing community for we are one large Ohana (family). One that deeply cares and supports one another both on and off the race course.
